Hello and thanks for taking the time to look at our puppies.
We are a group of several small breeders. None of us sell to brokers or pet stores. We find that offering puppies on the net can be a rewarding way to find wonderful homes for our babies.
I'm very picky about who I list puppies for. I never have and never intend to list puppies from a puppymill.
I personally have poms and yorkies and a couple of chihuahua babies. I started out with a pair of yorkies years ago and got hooked on the wonderful breed. I've also added a couple shih tzu's as their personalities are so very friendly. I love grooming and am starting to make hair bows and designing little outfits, which is a lot of fun. I wish I had the time to start going to shows. I see some people with big motor homes, talking about what shows they go to and the friends they meet there. Awwww someday maybe!
A friend of mine has cocker spaniels and I get to list her puppies a few times a year. I love the chocolate colored ones. They are just gorgeous in person.
When someone hears I take pictures of puppies, I first go check out who they are and how they raise momma and pappa dogs parents. I don't list for big breeders who to brokers and are just interested in breeding dogs for the money. Most of my momma dogs only have one litter a year. I retire them after 6 years and sometimes sooner. I'm more interested in the health of the dogs, as I've been an animal lover since I can remember.
Health and medicine are a hobby of mine. I study health in both pets and people. Sometimes I spend hours on the phone talking to people about health and hopefully some things I pass on will help. I love going to seminars and learning about the newest products and keeping up with the latest on pet health/care news.
I've made several friends from people who have bought puppies from us. I love getting pictures and updates. I thank you Susan for sending the videos and to Debbie for the cutest pictures I've ever seen of your little chihuahuas! Thank you to all the people all the other wonderful reports and pictures. I'm working on getting a page with testimonies soon. I lost several pictures when my old computer finally gave up, but I kept the hard drive and hopefully someday I'll be able to "rescue" the photos and get them back!
When I send one of my puppies off, it's like sending a baby to a new home. I've spent many hours with some of them and a few I helped (and the vet helped) come into this world. I'm there with the mommas when puppies are born. I try to let momma do everything. When they get to do it themselves, it helps the bonding and makes for much better mothers. It's always such an exciting time and a miracle when the puppies are born and develop into little tail wagging bright eyed babies.
I go through a routine everyday with the puppies I raise, when they are around two weeks old, that I learned from someone trains police and seeing eye dogs. It sure makes the puppies smart and trustworthy. I love to hear reports on how easy the puppies I raised are to housebreak and paper-train. Also how quickly they learn commands. It makes all the extra work I do worthwhile, because I know both the puppies and the new owners will be much happier in the long run.
Once in awhile I talk to someone that might have a female and they are looking for a male for her. I don't sell to puppymills but, I will sell to small breeders and will help them find either a puppy or a young adult dog that will work for them. I honestly try to give what I feel the adult size will be.
Buying a puppy online is a different experience for people. I've actually bought a puppy online too and know what it's like. First it's good to feel comfortable who you are buying from. See my article Don't Get scammed. If your not comfortable buying from someone online it's really best to find a local breeder (hopefully not a pet store). Or drive or fly in to pick your puppy up in person. If someone wants to do that I only require a small deposit to hold the puppy until you can get here. If you don't want to send a deposit the puppy will still be listed for sale but, if your are able to come shortly, I'll try to hold the puppy for you anyway.
Getting a puppy is a big decision and if I feel a puppy won't suit your lifestyle I'll be honest about it and will give you both the pros and cons with certain breeds, so you'll hopefully be happy with the choice you make, no matter who you get your puppy from.
Please bookmark my site because I'm going to be posting quite a few new articles on taking care of puppies/dogs. I love passing on knowledge I've gained from reading and talks, as well and things I've just found worked.
Almost everyday I'm reading books or reading on the net about puppy care
and learning from experience. I think I should write a book someday!
